Yvette Carpenter

My name is Yvette Carpenter and I am a native Angeleno. I was born in Culver City and I grew up in Granada Hills where I attended Kennedy High School. I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1994 and from New York University in 2007.

I have been married to my husband, Dave, for almost 20 years. We have two children that have joyfully attended Canyon Charter School over the past 9 years. As a family, we enjoy going to the beach, traveling near and far, playing games, going for walks, playing with our dog and reading.

I began my teaching career in 1998 and I took a break to raise our children. I am excited to return to teaching in a place that already feels like home. I look forward to this new year teaching 1st grade.
